The CUMC Food Pantry is a food distribution ministry which provides food to residents of Hamilton County, serving an average of 150 families each month. In 2008, approximately 5500 people were served by this ministry, receiving some 4300 bags of food. With the failing economy of 2009, the numbers are increasing rapidly. Qualifications: Any person in need will be helped. The only qualification is that you must be a resident of Hamilton County. No financial questions are asked. Guests are asked to limit their visits to once a month. Hours: Monday & Tuesday: 1-5 pm Wednesday & Thursday: 9 am - 1 pm Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm Donations: Our Food Pantry is supported by donations of food and monetary gifts. Donations may be delivered any time and left at the church in the donation center.
What you can do to help: First we ask for prayers for those in need. Second, we ask for you to support this ministry by making a monetary donation, making a food donation or volunteering your time. Our Food Pantry needs approximately $2000 per month to keep the shelves stocked. Items the Pantry Always Needs: cereal, juice, paper products, personal products and crackers.
