Thank you for your financial support of Carmel United Methodist Church. Every seed that you sow is used to fulfill our mission of igniting a passion to follow Jesus through “Connecting, Worshiping and Serving.  We strive to honor the Lord with the “first fruits” (Proverbs 3:9) of all our labor.

We bring nothing into the world, and we do not take anything with us when we leave. All that we have comes from God. God’s greatest gift to us was His Son, Jesus Christ, who died that we would have eternal life with Him.

We give back to the Lord a worthy portion of our money in order for Christ’s ministry to continue. The Old Testament gives us a guideline of sharing one tenth, a tithe, of our income. (Malachi 3:6-12) The scriptures tell us to give the first fruits of our resources and not just what remains. (II Corinthians 9:8)

Stewardship is one of the greatest responsibilities of Christian life. Pray fervently how you will show your gratitude to the Lord and how the Lord will use you.

Online Giving

Giving online at Carmel United Methodist Church is simple, easy and fast.

The "Online Giving" page through our website allows you to make contributions online to our various funds (e.g., General Operations, Faith Promise, and Making Room).  Online giving also gives you the ability to view and print your own contribution statements and track your giving throughout the year.

You can give online with a credit card or directly from your bank account. Both can be set up for scheduled (recurring) contributions.

What is online giving and what are its benefits?

Today people are willing to have money transferred from their bank accounts to pay bills, insurance premiums, mortgages, fitness memberships and more. Online giving provides the same convenience for those who want to faithfully and consistently make a financial tithe or gift to the church. It also enables one to give when they miss a weekend service due to travel or illness.

On-line giving is not a replacement for our regular worship service offerings. Rather, it is an additional, convenient method to submit your regular offering. While we accept offerings via credit cards, we strongly suggest that no one give out of debt or use a credit card unless it is paid off every month.

Is online giving secure?

Yes. CUMC uses an established third-party vendor as a clearing house to transfer funds to our bank. Information submitted online is protected by physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including firewalls and data encryption.

Can I give to multiple funds (e.g., General, Special offerings, etc.)?

Yes. To indicate your desired fund allocation, please select the appropriate fund and, if applicable, the “drop down” options on the online giving page.

Can I set up recurring gifts?

Yes. You can set up a recurring gift on the online giving page by selecting a type of recurring transaction in the Donation Frequency box.

Can I give online through my smart phone?

Yes. You can use your smart phone (iPhone or Android) to go to the CUMC website and select the online giving tab on the banner.  At that point you will be linked to a phone friendly giving page that offers you all the options that are available on the website online giving page.

What is the difference between submitting an offering via automatic withdrawal (ACH), credit card and debit card?

An automatic withdrawal transaction transfers funds directly from bank to bank, and funds are withdrawn from your bank account immediately. Funds thereby do not go through a credit agency (e.g., Visa). Offerings contributed via debit and credit cards go through a credit agency (i.e., Visa, MasterCard or Discover).

Are there fees associated with each method of online giving?

Each type of on-line giving incurs some kind of fee. These fees will be absorbed by CUMC and not your account. Automatic withdrawals (ACH) incur a flat fee that is less than the percentage fee incurred with credit/debit card transactions. Therefore, automatic transfers (ACH) are the preferred method of online giving, as this method costs less for CUMC to process.  An option to cover the credit card/debit card fees for each gift will be provided and will be also considered as part of your gift.

Do I have to set up an account profile?

While not required, setting up an account profile is highly recommended. Account profiles allow you to log-in and donate with the convenience of not having to enter all of your information in each time. Additionally, you can track your online giving through reports in your profile settings. When setting up your profile, you'll need to enter your email address and create a password. For safety, it is recommended that your password:

  • Must be at least 8 characters long
  • Must contain at least one number and one letter
  • Cannot be identical to your first name, last name, or email address
  • Cannot be reused

What is my envelope number?

Your envelope number is your account number used to record your contributions at CUMC.  It can be found on the supply of envelopes mailed to your home monthly, or you can call the church’s financial secretary to obtain your account number.  Using your account number with every donation greatly facilitates the accurate recording of your contributions.


Can guests/non-members make gifts to CUMC through online giving?

Yes, you are not required to create a profile or log-in, however you will need to fill in your name, address and financial information.
