Summer seems to start a flurry of out of town mission activity and this year is no different.
- Sunday we sent 30 people to serve at Henderson Settlement in
the Appalachia mountains
- Next Sunday we will send youth to Nashville in mission
- June 6 both Lauren Roberts and Amelia Harrison left for
4-6 weeks in El Salvador and Africa. I encourage you
to follow them during this experience via their blogs

In the first blog entries of both Amelia and Lauren, they identified the change/challenge it was going to be to disconnect from all technology for the time they are gone. But they are both also looking forward to that time of living in the moment fully.
I shared with them that because I have been blessed with many opportunities to have experiences that take me away from technology and day-to-day life. I have also felt the beauty of living fully in the moment and how much I experience God at those times. It has created in me a craving for those moments both in large segments of time and in small increments throughout my day. It has also taught me to be a bit afraid of what I am missing from God when I am not living in the moment and attentive to God's presence.
Looking forward to hearing how Amelia and Lauren grow and experience this.
