Stay connected

Purpose: We live and love like Jesus!

How to get involved:

1) CONNECT with God and others (attend worship, Intersect, events, service projects)

2) GROW in faith and love through Biblical learning (be a part of a small group)

3) SERVE our community and world as followers of Jesus (in missions or service projects at least one way every quarter)

Rev. Matt Sherrill

Director of Youth Ministries

Wilderness Trail is a week-long spiritual adventure that will truly change your life! We will spend 5 nights on the trail, hiking on the Appalachian Trail, and enjoying getting to know our hiking group from CUMC. We have a guys group and a girls group. We still have 4-5 girls spots open! We'd love to fill this with any middle or high school girl that wants to go for a life changing week hiking and camping together in the woods of Virginia on the Appalachian Trail. They provide everything you need.

Contact Matt for more info or CLICK HERE.

Sundays in the HUB ● 10-11:00AM

Help Needed! This is our summer Sunday ministry to all middle and high school students. We make pancakes, enjoy eating together, and then read a chapter from the Gospel of Mark. Nothing fancy, just good food, fellowship, and Word together. SIGN UP HERE, if you'd like to help in any way or online on the Youth Ministry Page.

Wednesdays ● 7-8:30PM

Wednesday Night Worship is our Summer Youth Ministry weekly ministry! This is open to Rising 6th graders through graduating seniors. We will meet outside (weather permitting) or inside if the weather is bad. These will be fun times filled with games that help us connect, laugh, and grow closer to each other. We will also have snacks, music, and special guest speakers each week!

To learn more contact Rev. Matt Sherrill at msherrill@carmelumc.org.

Sunday ● 10-11
We have started a Parent Small Group from 10-11am and we'd love for you to join! Parents can join in the Confirmation room (room LL 12) near the HUB. This is a great time to get to know other parents, support each other, and we will discuss the same scripture the students are reading. This is led by Tom and Lenae Goeke! Invite others to join you!

YOUTHMINISTRY (6-12th grade)

Carmel UMC Youth Ministry equips and sends disciples who guide people toward Jesus one at a time.

Every Sunday Night

Currently meeting in-person or on Zoom!

We have a short lessons, break out discussion groups, worship music, and games.
Bring: a mask is required to be worn while in the building. Please also help us by practicing good social distancing from other people.
ZOOM: If you are unable to join us in person for different reasons, we will have the Zoom option for you. We'd love for you to join us. We plan on having someone guide you in the breakout time as an online small group.

Contact Rev. Matt Sherrill for the Zoom link.

Every Sunday Morning

We have confirmation experience for 6-8th grade students. Students can participate and join in any and all of our CX6-8 years and our hope is to have students participate for all three years. Our hope is to really pour into students, give them meaningful experiences that bring the teachings of scripture to life in fun ways, and to send them out with weekly exercises and challenges to live out their faith daily. Contact Matt if you would like more information. msherrill@carmelumc.org

The Carmel UMC higher education scholarship committee was pleased to announce our six scholarship recipients for 2021! Emily Carlisle, Austin Keith, Kathryn Larkin, Erin Reed, Haley Slosman, and Brooke Wiesner.

Grow Groups are for students who are ready to go deeper in their faith as a disciple for Jesus Christ.

Connect Groups are easy entry ways to authentically connects with students and adults on a smaller scale than Intersect.

These are ongoing groups designed to connect students with each other and occasionally do some service projects together.
